| My Introduction to the Mac Laptop |

Five years ago I got a job that paid well and was a lot of fun. The
only problem I had when I started was that the computer they wanted me
to use was a Mac laptop. This was foreign territory for me, and I had no idea what I was doing.
Using a Mac is a lot different than
using an IBM compatible type computer. Everything was different and it
took me a while to get used to it. My boss was patient because he knows
they aren’t common, and he did offer to have someone come in to show me
the basics.
In the end I did ok without the help with the Mac laptop. I figured things out as I went, which tends to be the way I learn things anyway. I did find that after I got used to using the Mac laptop things seemed to make more sense.
The commands and the keys on the Mac seemed to make a lot of sense, and I wondered why other computers have to be so complicated. Computer should be easy for everyone, or at least as easy as possible, don’t you think?
The Mac laptop I had was a high powered one for that time, and I found that I got more work done in a shorter time. If I wanted to get online for research, the fast Internet connection and the computer made surfing easy and fast.
At the time, I was in the market for a new computer, and I almost bought a Mac laptop of my own. I left the job soon after though, and I didn’t buy anything for a year or so. I had to put off buying because I was moving across state and that shattered my budget.
In the end I didn’t buy a Mac laptop, and instead went with the PC. I guess old habits die hard, and this was no exception. I had a lot of training on a PC and in the end I went with what I knew best. If you want a Apple Mac laptop G5, however, you should know that they are probably still easier to use and tend to be more user friendly than almost any other type of computer.
